El objetivo del primer nivel es ayudarte a expresarte en inglés acerca de temas relacionados con el intercambio de información general, hablar de ti, de tu familia y tus amistades; describir el lugar donde vives, describir tus pertenencias favoritas y las de los demás y describir tu comunidad.

What is your home like? Do you live in a house or an apartment?

Now describe your home. Check the example, then write a short paragraph. Mention how many bedrooms there are, if there is a kitchen, the rooms there are upstairs and downstairs. if there is a garden or a patio or yard. Write your description on the comments.

Our first apartment. Let's practice the vocabulary related to houses and apartments. Then, think: you are getting your first apartment and you are going to decorate it. What do you need to buy?

Compare houses. Look at two house. Both houses are very similar. Describe them, compare them and make a decition: Which house would you buy?

Let's paint our house! Painting our homes can make them a happier place to live. Check how people in Italy make their homes more beautiful.

Activity 2. Clothes and the weather
Imagine you are going to take part in an international congress. What clothes are you taking? consider the weather, the number of days you are going to be in that place and the different activities you are going to do.

Activity 3. Who Speaks English?


People speak English all around the world! There are many people who speak English as a second or a foreing language. 

Click here in order to choose a country where English is spoken, eather as native or official language, second or foreign language. 
In class you will talk about that country. find out: where it is located, general data, its flag, famous people, food, and other cultural information you think interesting. Include the source of information. 
Make a poster with that and talk your classmates about that country.

Activity 6. Lois Lane interviews Superman


Look at the video and do as follows:

1. Answer: What are they like?, what are they wearing?
2. Make a list of the questions Lois Lane asks Superman
3. Recover Supeman's answers
4. With the previous information write two paragraphs. In paragraph 1 write a description of Superman. In patagraph 2 organize  the information from the questions. write a title for your article and illustarate it. bring your article to class
5. Who is your favorite superheroe? Make at least 8 questions and bring them to class.

Activity 8. Radio Boy




Now we are going to read a book! Radio Boy is the story of a young boy who lives in a small town. Steve is a fan of a radio show. Thanks to that he solves a mystery and becomes famous.

Activity 9. Allentown -a song


Simple Past Tense. Simple past tense is very useful to tell stories. In Allentown the songwriter Billy Joel tells us the story of the a city in the north east of Pennsylvania state.




Here you can check some details about the city of Allentown and then you can listen to the song. After, coment with your classmates what you consider most relevant.

Create a poster with images, audio and /or video to talk about your family.
